The following websites can be helpful if stuck while completing homework or studying for tests.
The following websites provide puzzles and games to practice math concepts.
- Khan Academy - this site provides video tutorials, practice problems and missions that I have assigned for students to complete. This should be your first stop if you need help. Please sign up for my class, so I can track progress. 6th Grade Code: PUZNZH Advanced 6th Grade Code: DWEPQK
- Mathtutor - this site provides video tutorials, practice problems with step by step help and progress monitoring. Go to "Students" and choose "Go to the Tutors" button.
- JustMathTutorials - this site provides videos on many different subjects, showing all steps in the solution. The table of contents is large, so pay attention to what exact topic is needed.
- FreeMathHelp - this site provides lessons and examples in many math concepts.
The following websites provide puzzles and games to practice math concepts.
- Prodigy Math - online math game. Students signed up in my class and are following the FL 6th grade math curriculum
- MathPlayground - games available for grades K-6 math skills
- Arcademics - games available for grades 1-6 math skills
- MathPickle - logic puzzles and games to promote mathematical problem solving
- HoodaMath - there are some good games on here, but many do not provide much mathematical practice. I recommend the fraction and integer games.
